Specifically designed for healthcare, retirement, and spa facilities, our bed elevator is reliable, durable and attractive. It’s also spacious enough to hold patients and equipment at the same time. We offer special control options for emergency services and cleaning staff.
Our elevators deliver patients and their guests to their destinations in safe, quiet, smooth and reliable comfort.
We understand that reliability is paramount in designing mobility solutions for healthcare facilities. Access control prioritises operation for emergency elevators and can designate selected elevators for trauma units and hygiene-sensitive transport.
Elevator surfaces are durable, have no sharp edges, and are made of easy-to-clean stainless steel. The in-car control panel can be positioned flexibly to maximise ease of use.
To provide an insight into the ecological performance of our elevators throughout their life, we provide Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). Schindler has registered EPDs at the "International EPD® System" for all major elevator product lines, taking an important step further in the assessment of the environmental performance of our products, underlining our continuous efforts towards sustainable solutions.
Technology and control options that can save up to 70% on energy during operation.
We design maintenance to keep your elevator in optimum operation throughout its working life. Our control system can link to your building management system for even faster response and control. And Schindler’s comprehensive service network ensures rapid response – a Schindler technician is never far away.
Control panels can be positioned lower to make them easy to use from a wheelchair.
Moving patients around a hospital needs to be done efficiently and safely. Schindler installed eleven heavy-duty, custom modular elevators and two escalators at Wellington Regional Hospital for this exact purpose.
Three 1600kg-capacity passenger lifts and several 1750kg-2500kg bed/passenger lifts were included in the project. In addition a priority service function was installed which allows authorised personnel to take control of the lift and go to any floor, including the helipad, in case of emergencies.
