Our Schindler 5000 is designed to blend seamlessly into your building. Flexible car sizes, door dimensions, and controller options enable the Schindler 5000 to adapt to any project. Make your building more efficient with leading energy-saving features.
All the main components sit in the shaft, saving construction cost and giving architects more space to work with in their design. Larger cars can fit into a standard shaft space, with reduced headroom space and pit depth requirements.
A lubrication-free, gearless machine provides a smooth ride quality. Permanent magnet technology and a stable start without high peak current supports better energy efficiency.
Regenerative drive technology is standard throughout our modular product family, including the Schindler 1000. This reduces travel energy by 30% compared to conventional technology.
A Schindler 5000 controller supports the digital commissioning and enhanced maintenance of your elevator. The connected technology enables future benefits during the service and maintenance of the equipment, including remote monitoring of the unit’s health.
The Schindler 5000 car features a scalable width and depth in 50 mm increments. Car heights can also be scaled in 100 mm increments, up to 2800 mm.
Suspension Traction Media (STM) saves shaft space and energy by using a smaller motor and sheave. Our STM solution is oil-free and does not require regular relubrication.
Doors can be sized and positioned with millimetre accuracy. The door width is adjustable in 100 mm increments from 800 to 1200 mm and door heights up to 2400 mm, with a choice of telescopic (T2) or centre-opening doors (C2) and single or double entrances.

Benefit from our tools, solutions, and latest innovations to support you through the entire product life cycle of your elevator. Our elevators are designed to use state-of-the-art technologies from planning to operation.
Our elevators automatically switch to an energy-saving standby or sleep mode during rest periods. In addition, our regenerative drive systems feed the self-generated energy back into the network.
To provide an insight into the ecological performance of our elevators throughout their life, we provide Environmental Product Declarations (EPD). We’ve registered EPDs at the "International EPD® System" for all major elevator product lines, taking an important step further in the assessment of the environmental performance of our products, while underlining our continuous efforts toward sustainable solutions.
For information about the environmental performance of our elevators and their full life cycle, visit the EPD website.
