Gender

Gender matters. We feel strongly that our industry and our organisation should reflect the mix of genders in society. Beyond our values, we know that mixed gender teams collaborate better and make better decisions. Through targeted development programs, training on unconscious bias, we’re working hard to build a mix of genders across Schindler. Our CEO reviews our progress quarterly to make sure we stay on track. Also, our global equal pay initiative ensures that everyone receives fair pay for their role, no matter what their gender. 

Diverse abilities

Mobility solutions are our business, and our technicians think inclusively every day when installing elevators, escalators, or moving walks. Abilities come in many different packages so, through initiatives like our Valuable 500 commitment, we are working to improve how we recruit and include people with disabilities. Several local programs have already helped increase the number of people with disabilities in our workforce.

We celebrate that there are up to five generations working together at Schindler, offering fantastic opportunities to learn from each other. We encourage every generation to remain open, curious, and ready to learn from others.
